VERA, SEVILLA

Property

VERA is a major regeneration project that will transform Seville’s former Tobacco Factory, abandoned since 2006 into a vibrant  and accessible urban space. Led by KKH Property Investors, the initiative aims to revitalise this landmark site by creating a high-quality and connected environment along the banks of the Guadalquivir River.

As part of the SY London design team, we worked on VERA for around one year. VERA, includes the creation of a large urban park and enhancing the public gardens and immediate streets and the natural riverbank, will be integrated into a cohesive landscape design. A new pedestrian bridge over the Guadalquivir will further improve access between Los Remedios and VERA, reinforcing the project’s commitment to permeability and connectivity. VERA is set to become a model of successful public-private collaboration. With an investment of approximately €250 million and the creation of over 1,000 direct jobs, the project is both economically and socially significant. Initial works are expected to complete by the end of 2025, with full completion including the pedestrian bridge completing Q3/4 2026.
